This beautiful unique mountain villa is found nestling in the foothills
of the Sierra Cabrera mountain range with spectacular views across the mountains
and valleys. The atmosphere amongst the mountains is peace, tranquillity
and relaxation.
Torre Cascada is a new villa built in the Moorish style unique to this
area. With all modern comforts and amenities its appearance is that of a
grand medieval Moorish villa with tower.
Large, intricately carved arched windows allow access to three separate
terraces all of which have magnificent uninterrupted views of the surrounding
Sierra Cabrera Mountains and valley's.
The imposing double gates bounded on one side by a natural rock outcrop
lead to the large split-level front terrace. Half of this is covered with
a cane screen to afford shelter from the sun whilst eating alfresco or taking
a drink whilst admiring the view into the valley. This terrace also overlooks
the large shaped private pool and affords access to the main lounge/dinning
area and entrance door. Steps lead down to the pool along side the natural
rocks.
The main front olive wood door leads to an entrance area, off of which
are two bedrooms and a bathroom. All floors are pink or white marble.
The furniture is new luxurious and in traditional Spanish style. The house
has been left deliberately uncluttered to reveal the unique architectural
splendour.
Bedroom One has two single beds and a built in wardrobe. Large shuttered
doors in this bedroom lead directly back onto the front terrace. Bedroom
two has a double bed and built in wardrobe. Shuttered windows open to an
uninterrupted view of the adjacent mountain olive groves and goatherds.
The bathroom is in blue mosaic tiles with bath/shower, toilet and washbasin.
Leading from the entrance area through an archway down marble steps is
the main lounge/dinning area. This well lit room has three double sliding
window doors each surrounded by carved archways supported on turned columns.
One window leads to the front terrace. A second gives access to the adjacent
front balcony. The third leads to the equally large rear terrace which is
also covered with cane sun shading.
The lounge area has a feature fireplace with a log effect fire provided
for the few winter evenings when it is needed. A music centre and TV provided.
A rustic large wooden dinning table with six chairs is provided and the
comfortable curved settee seats 5. A further archway leads to the well equipped
kitchen with cooker/extractor, washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer
and all normal kitchen utensils. The view for those volunteering to work
at the sink is superb!!
Also leading off of the entrance area is the spiral staircase which leads
upstairs to the master bedroom in the Tower, and downstairs to the pool
and poolroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and large en-suite
bathroom. The room is enhanced by the magnificent domed ceiling with its
concealed lighting. The main double door windows lead out via the ornate
carved arched to an extremely large private terrace with 360 views of the
area.
The poolroom has a bar and sofa which is ideal for a refreshing drink away
forms the blazing hot sun when required. This pool room could also be used
as a fourth bedroom by using the sofa bed provided.
The pool, which can be reached from either the spiral staircase or terrace
steps, is surrounded by a paved area with a backdrop of natural rocks. It
is illuminated for night time dips.
Local amenities consist of :- Cabrera Castle, tennis courts, horse riding,
restaurants, golf course, fantastic mountain walks, caves, lawn bowls, ten
minutes drive to Mojacar beach, which has beaches with water sports and
entertainments and also wilder untouched virgin beaches.
A car is a necessity in the village of Cabrera.
Please note that this villa is not suitable for very young children.
